1. What is the C-TPAT anti-terrorism inspection factory?
C-TPAT is a voluntary program established by the US Department of Homeland Security's Customs and Border Protection (CBP), which was initiated after the September 11 incident and was established spontaneously with the business community.
The full name of C-TPAT is “Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism”, which is “Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism”. Through C-TPAT's safety recommendations, CBP hopes to work with relevant industry to establish a supply chain security management system to ensure the safety of transportation, safety information and conditions of the supply chain from the start to the end. The members participating in the program will strengthen their security measures and management related to facilities, personnel, procedures and delivery in accordance with the safety recommendations of C-TPAT, covering eight areas: program security, information processing, physical security, and access. 2. Benefits of becoming a C-TPAT member
Current US importers, carriers, customs brokers, cargo contract/freight agents/non-ship public carriers, US local port authorities/terminal operators, Mexican manufacturers and a number of Asian and European manufacturers directly invited by CBP Can apply to become a C-TPAT member. Launched in November 2001, more than 9,000 companies have applied for participation by the end of 2006, of which 5,500 have been certified and awarded C-TPAT certificates. The main benefit of joining C-TPAT is that it can speed up the processing of freight. Over time, as the number of C-TPAT members continues to increase, non-C-TPAT members will find that their shipments require more and more detailed review and verification, and the processing time required is not guaranteed.
