1. What is BSCI?
The Business Social Standards Initiative (“BSCI”) aims to implement a unified set of procedures to monitor and promote the social responsibility performance of companies producing related products through continuous improvement of development policies.
Many European brands and retailers such as C&A, Coop, Esprit, Metro Group and OBI recognize BSCI certification.
2. The BSCI Code of Conduct mainly covers the main aspects:
1. Obey the law;
2. Freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining;
3. Prohibit discrimination;
4. Compensation;
5. Working hours;
6. Workplace safety;
7. Prohibit the use of child labor;
8. Prohibit forced labor;
9. Environmental and safety issues.
Third, the benefits to the enterprise:
1. fulfill the requirements of the guests;
2. One certification for different guests – reducing the number of times different buyers come to the factory at different times;
3. Enhance the image and status of the factory;
4. Improve the management system;
5. Improve the relationship with employees;
