1、Introduction to ISO/IEC17025
ISO17025 is an international standard for laboratory accreditation services. The old version was released in May 2005 and is fully referred to as ISO/IEC 17025:2005-5-15, General Requirements for Testing and Calibration Laboratory Capabilities. The ISO 17025 standard is a laboratory management standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization ISO/CASCO (International Organization for Standardization/Conformity Assessment Committee). The predecessor of this standard is ISO/IEC Guide 25: 1990, Requirements for Calibration and Testing Laboratory Capabilities. The international organization that manages laboratory accreditation is the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), which is attended by 44 laboratory accreditation bodies including the China National Accreditation Board for Laboratory (CNACL).
Laboratories accredited to the ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard have a number of benefits:
1. It indicates that the laboratory has the technical ability to carry out calibration/detection according to relevant international standards;
2. Enhance the competitiveness of the laboratory in the calibration/testing market and win the trust of government departments and the community;
3. Participate in international laboratories to recognize bilateral and multilateral cooperation and obtain wider recognition;
4. Listed in the National Laboratory Accreditation List to increase the visibility of the laboratory;
5. The accreditation mark can be used within the scope of the approved project.
3. Standard certification
ISO 17025 standards, including: definition, organization and management, quality systems, audits and reviews, personnel, facilities and environment, equipment and reference materials, traceability and calibration, calibration and testing methods, sample management, records, certificates and reports, Subcontracting, external assistance and supply, complaints, etc. for calibration or testing. The core elements of the standard are equipment and reference materials, traceability and calibration, calibration and testing methods, and sample management. These areas focus on evaluating laboratory calibration or testing capabilities to meet expected requirements.
China National Laboratory Accreditation Committee (CNAS) is the only laboratory accreditation body in China, and is accredited by ISO17025 standards for all laboratories throughout the country. All calibration and testing laboratories can adopt and implement the ISO17025 standard. According to international practice, all data provided by laboratories that pass the ISO17025 standard have legal effects and are internationally recognized. At present, more than 1,000 laboratories in China have passed the ISO17025 standard certification. Through the implementation of the standards, the accuracy of experimental data and results has been improved, and the visibility of the laboratory has been expanded, thereby greatly improving economic and social benefits.
