1. Introduction to ISO14064 standard
ISO 14064 contains three standards ISO 14064-l:2006 "Greenhouse gases - Part 1: Quantitative and reporting guidelines for GHG emissions and removals at the organizational level"; ISO 14064-2:2006 "Greenhouse gases - Part 2: Projects Guideline for quantification, monitoring and reporting of GHG emissions reductions and removals at the level; ISO 14064-3:2006 Greenhouse gases - Part III: Guidelines for the validation and certification of greenhouse gas declarations. ISO 14065:2007 "Greenhouse Gases - Requirements for Greenhouse Gas Validation and Certification Authorities"
Its main purpose is to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and emissions trade, to promote the consistency, transparency and credibility of greenhouse gas quantification, monitoring, reporting and verification; to ensure that organizations identify and manage greenhouse gas-related responsibilities, Assets and risks; promotion of greenhouse gas limits or credit trade; support for the design, research and implementation of comparable and consistent greenhouse gas programmes or procedures.
To quantify and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, ISO International Standards provides a programmatic approach to help organizations quantify and report their greenhouse gas emissions and address greenhouse gas tissue risks. On March 1, 2006, ISO released the ISO 14064 standard and released the ISO 14065 standard on April 15, 2007.
